We have a broad portfolio available of fibers with different rare earth dopant offering products optimized for a wide range of applications.
Erbium-Doped Fibers are available with product variations targeted for use in low power remotely pumped amplifiers, over preamplifiers, in-line amplifiers and booster amplifiers. They are also available in both 80 µm and 125 µm fiber versions.
Erbium-Ytterbium Doped Fibers are available in a double clad version commonly used for e.g. CATV amplifiers.
Fibers for Components, Modules and Sub-systems
These include Coupler Fiber; Polarization-Maintaining Fiber and Single-Mode Fiber
Coupler Fibers are available with a selection of cut-off wavelengths, fiber and coating diameters. Primary application is for fused fiber couplers.
Polarization Maintaining Fibers are offered with options such as cut-off wavelengths, fiber and coating diameters, and bend insensitive versions (R5). These are used for polarization management in Photonic Integrated Circuits, Modules and Subsystems and jumpers.
Single-Mode Fibers supplementing the above can be found with different cut-off wavelengths, fiber and coating diameters, and bend insensitive versions (R5). These are used for polarization management in Photonic Integrated Circuits, Modules and Subsystems and jumpers
OFS is offering a range of dispersion compensating modules optimized for compensation of the dispersion encountered in optical communication systems based on G.652 (Zero Water Peak Single-mode Fibers,) and G.655 (TrueWave-RS) fibers.
